Join us this month for a special Chamber Champion recognition and special guest speaker Matt Huckabay
About Matt:
Our guest speaker is Matt Huckabay. As the Executive Director for The Center for Violence- Free Relationships for over 15 years, Matt has been at the forefront of building coalitions, driving change, and expanding services for family violence prevention organizations across the state.
Matt is a lifelong student studying the traditional healing practices of indigenous cultures from around the world. Early on in his career Matt spent 4 years working for UCD Medical Center’s Hospice program where he learned the importance of being anxiously engaged in pursing that which brings meaning and purpose.
Matt has served as a member of the California Department of Public Health’s Rape Prevention Education steering committee, member of the Board of Directors for the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault and regional representative for California Partnership to End Domestic Violence. He has served as advisor to the Blue Shield of California Foundation. Matt is a member of the National Leap Ambassadors organization and was instrumental with non-profits across the country adopting high-performance practices as a path to building great social service organizations so they can have a greater social impact.
In addition, Matt is passionate about the health and wellbeing of our community and its members. To that end he has facilitated multiple endeavors to address complex community challenges and assisted numerous local non-profits with building strategic pathways so they can achieve their outcomes, expand their impact and reach their full potential.
Join us for our monthly business luncheon at Red Hawk Casino - KOTO BUFFET, which is usually held on the third Thursday of the month. Our luncheons typically have a member attendance of 60 individuals. Networking begins at 11:45 am, followed by the meeting at noon. Each month, we have a new guest speaker who brings valuable insights. The chamber business luncheons provide an excellent platform to connect with other members of the business community and exchange information.
