            Job Posting: Administrative & Member Services Specialist (Part-Time, Mid-Level)
Position Summary
The Administrative & Member Services Specialist provides essential support in two key areas: (1) administrative and financial management, and (2) member services and event coordination. This mid-level role ensures the smooth operation of office functions, accurate financial record-keeping, and effective member engagement. The position is part-time, with the potential to expand into a full-time role as organizational needs grow.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative & Finance
- Handle accounts payable and receivable; maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with budget preparation, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Provide HR support including payroll processing and onboarding.
- Manage office operations, supplies, vendor relationships, and compliance.
- Set up meeting and event spaces, including logistics and A/V needs.
Member Services & Events
- Process and track membership dues; maintain member records.
- Serve as a point of contact for member inquiries and engagement.
- Plan, organize, and support workshops, networking activities, and special events.
- Assist with legislative meetings, grassroots advocacy, and outreach.
- Coordinate and promote fundraising and community events.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in office administration, financial support, member services, or event planning.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel, or comparable accounting and membership database systems.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
Compensation and Schedule
• Part-time role (approx. 20 hours per week), with potential for expansion to full-time.• Compensation: DOE.
• Flexible schedule; some evening or weekend work required for events.
