Compensation: $75,000-$85,000 + Benefits + Performance Incentive Opportunity

The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce seeks an energetic, visionary, and results-oriented Chief Executive Officer to lead one of the region's most respected business organizations.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO serves as the organization's chief executive, chief fundraiser, public advocate, and principal spokesperson. This position offers a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader who enjoys building relationships, generating revenue, advocating for business, and creating meaningful community impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Chamber's strategic vision and operations.
• Serve as the primary advocate for the business community.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders, elected officials, community organizations, and regional partners.
• Drive membership recruitment, engagement, and retention.
• Lead fundraising, sponsorship development, and revenue-generation initiatives.
• Secure corporate partnerships and community investments.
• Manage staff, finances, programs, and organizational operations.
• Support and collaborate with the Board of Directors to achieve strategic objectives.

Fundraising & Revenue Development

A major component of this position is revenue generation through:

• Corporate sponsorships
• Strategic partnerships
• Membership growth
• Event sponsorships
• Community investment programs
• Fundraising campaigns

Candidates should demonstrate success in fundraising, business development, sponsorship sales, relationship management, membership growth, or revenue generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Executive leadership experience in business, chamber management, nonprofits, associations, economic development, sales, public affairs, or related fields.
• Strong communication and public speaking abilities.
• Proven relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing budgets and organizational operations.
• Demonstrated success growing revenue and developing partnerships.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $75,000-$85,000, depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits and performance-based incentive compensation.

The CEO will be eligible for additional compensation tied to:

• Fundraising growth

• Membership growth and retention
• Revenue enhancement
• Strategic partnership development
• Achievement of Board-approved organizational goals

Exceptional performance may result in total compensation exceeding $100,000 annually.
